Terms and Conditions for Using Arcadia Laundry App

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING OR USING ARCADIA LAUNDRY APPLICATIONS OR ANY SERVICES PROVIDED BY US, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF SERVICE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE ARCADIA LAUNDRY APPLICATIONS OR ANY SERVICES PROVIDED BY US.
Company Information
Your contracting partner is Arcadia Dry Cleaners Ltd., a corporation established in Nairobi, Kenya ("Arcadia Laundry" or "we/us"). We operate the Arcadia Laundry mobile application and associated services for laundry and dry cleaning.
1. User Agreement
These Terms of Use, along with our Privacy Policy and referenced guidelines, form the "Agreement." This Agreement constitutes a legal contract between you ("User") and Arcadia Dry Cleaners Ltd. By accessing or using our services, you confirm acceptance of this Agreement.
2. Service Description
2.1 Scope of Services
Arcadia Laundry provides a comprehensive range of laundry-related services via our app, including:
- Bulk Laundry: Regular and delicate wash services for large quantities
- Dry Cleaning: Professional cleaning for special care items
- Ironing & Folding: Professional pressing and garment finishing
- Carpet Cleaning: Deep cleaning and sanitization services
- Shoe Cleaning: Specialized cleaning for all types of footwear
- Curtain Cleaning: On-site and facility cleaning options
- Pickup and Delivery: Scheduled collection and return services
2.2 Professional Standards
We are committed to delivering services of the highest quality through:
- Thorough staff background checks
- Professional training in fabric care
- Regular quality control inspections
- Industry-approved cleaning agents
- Modern equipment and facilities
- Regular process audits and updates
2.3 Customer Responsibilities
- Accurately declare items and highlight special care instructions
- Remove all items from pockets before submission
- Report pre-existing damage before pickup
- Securely package items for collection
- Be available or arrange secure pickup/delivery
- Notify us of any service issues within 48 hours of delivery
- Provide accurate contact and delivery information
- Ensure adequate payment methods are available
3. User Accounts and Data
3.1 Account Creation
- Must be of legal age in your jurisdiction
- Provide accurate, current personal information
- Valid mobile phone number for verification
- Current residential or business address
- Maintain confidentiality of account credentials
3.2 Account Deletion
To delete your account and data:
- Open the Arcadia Laundry App
- Go to Profile
- Select Personal Details
- Choose "Delete your account"
This will permanently erase all your data from our servers.
4. Pricing, Payments, and Refunds
4.1 Pricing Structure
Our pricing varies based on:
- Service type selected
- Volume or weight of items
- Special handling requirements
- Delivery options and timing
- Seasonal demand or peak periods
- Special care instructions
4.2 Payment Terms
- Payments must be completed before service delivery
- We accept credit cards, mobile payments (e.g., M-Pesa), and digital wallets
- Prices include standard cleaning and delivery
- Additional charges apply for express service
- Special handling fees may apply for delicate items
4.3 Refunds and Cancellations
- Free Cancellation: Up to 4 hours before scheduled pickup
- Partial Refund: 50% refund for cancellations within 24 hours of pickup
- No Refund: For cancellations after items have been collected
- Quality Complaints: Must be reported within 48 hours
- Refund Processing: 5-7 business days
5. Liability and Insurance
5.1 Damage Coverage
We are liable for damages caused during cleaning, up to the declared value of the item. Pre-existing damage and normal wear and tear are excluded. Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
5.2 Limited Liability
- Undeclared defects in items
- Inherent weakness or deterioration of fabrics
- Color loss from unstable dyes
- Damage from hidden items in pockets
- Burns or weakness from chemical treatments
- Shrinkage within commercial tolerances
6. Service Termination
6.1 Grounds for Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Fraudulent activities or suspicion thereof
- Repeated cancellations without cause
- Non-payment or payment disputes
- Abusive or inappropriate behavior
- Violation of these terms
- Multiple policy violations
6.2 User-Initiated Termination
Users can terminate their accounts through the account deletion process, ensuring no outstanding payments or services remain.
